Mixing at Compass Records

The new record entitled Sons of Sailors was mixed by Gordon Hammond at Compass Recording Studio, Nashville. The Nashville Celts were excited about working with Gordon. Gordon had just finished working with Don Henley on his latest record before taking on The Nashville Celts new project.

Compass Records is currently the largest record company for Celtic music in the world. The studio located on Music Row used to be called Hillbilly Central. This is where Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and others in the Outlaw movement used to record back in the 1970s.

Big thanks to banjo player Allison Browne and her husband Gary West for the use of their great sounding studio!
